Buyer's Guide: Holster Brands

Choosing Between Holster Brands

Holster Brands come in a large variety of styles and designs. Choosing the right holster for you can be quite difficult unless you take your time to find out what is available. Holsters come in many different shapes and sizes. The most common style of holster is the paddle.

A paddle is made up of a leather paddle that is usually fastened to the side of the gun. The purpose of the paddle is to keep the gun close to the body while still allowing it to be taken out quickly if necessary. Paddle holsters are most commonly used by people who use guns for work or for hunting. They are not very practical for those who may not be in a position to be taking their gun out very often. They are also not very comfortable for an extended period of time.

A belt clip may also be used as the paddle of a holster. This is a great option for a few people who carry a small gun that does not have a paddle or one that is very impractical for them to carry. These people can opt for a belt clip that will clip on to their pants. This holster is the easiest type to put on and to remove. It can also be placed under the waistband of a shirt so that the gun is within easy reach.

Another common type of holster is the pouch. A pouch is simply a small bag or enclosure that a person places their gun into so that they may place it into a holster without taking it out. Many times these pouches will include a belt loop so that the gun is even more secure. A pouch will be a great choice for those who are walking around a lot and do not want to take their gun out very often.

Some holsters will allow for the addition of a canteen. This pouch adds an additional layer of security to the holster. The canteen will fit inside of the pouch and will cover the gun when not in use. Pouches and canes are commonly used in western and antique style holsters. When choosing between a pouch and a cane, make sure that the pouch will be able to accommodate the size and weight of your gun.

Most of the newer models of gun safes will offer both a pouch and canister for those who are looking to keep multiple guns on hand. For the most part these guns are constructed in much the same way as traditional holsters. They are usually made out of leather and feature the same amount of durability that you would find from a traditional model.

The final consideration in choosing the right gun safe is going to be how user-friendly they are. While they do not need to be difficult to use, they should still be easy to use. If you are going to be transporting your gun around then you want one that can be easily taken out and put back in and that won't require you to take the gun out and put it back in again if you are in the middle of a fight.

Holster brands are generally a good starting point for choosing a gun safe. If you don't know exactly what type of gun safe you need, then you can start by reading up on the different types of holsters and how each one works. Once you have an idea of what you need, you can look for reviews online from people who have actually bought the different models available so that you can see for yourself how well it works. Don't forget that sometimes gun safes can be more trouble than they are worth. When you are debating between a few different gun safes, make sure that you are getting one that will last and one that you are confident with.
