Knife Leg Holster - How You Can Use It

Drop Knife Leg Holster J. Davis Style has been developed for the avid outdoorsman, hunter, or fishing enthusiast. This person wished to be able to quickly access his knife while in the field without ever having to open or lift his coat. What is great about this accessory is that it attaches to a belt through the pants. This makes it convenient for the outdoormen, even when the conditions are harsh. The leather strap can be adjusted and is worn around the waist or around the ankle.

Once attached the belt is then brought up to the knife's pommel and is secured with buckles. The outside flap of leather slips over the blade and is then stitched shut. The inside pocket of the belt is lined with pleats so that the blade of the knife is within easy reach. The knife blade slips inside through the top of the flaps.

The knife is held securely within the top of the flaps by leather strips that are sandwiched between the knife's blade and handle. To further secure the knife, buttons can be pushed to lock the knife in place. The leather also provides a place for a small reflective patch that will help hunters see their surroundings.

An optional leather sheath adapter is available for this accessory. It attaches to the belt using belt loops or buckle attachments. Attaching the sheath adapter is very simple. It can be attached by sliding it under the belt through the metal loop on the knife. This eliminates the need to remove the knife from its sheath or the belt loops.

The blade can also be placed through one or more of the knife's blade slots. Using the included screwdriver, these blade slots can be installed so the blade will extend out through all six blade slots on the blade of the knife. An added feature is that some knife leg holsters feature a second blade that extends out through the knife's second blade slot.

Hunters prefer knives with open blades so they can see what they are shooting at. The lack of blade slots leaves them with less control when handling their weapon. Some people may choose to have open blades but only because they don't have enough room in their pockets for an open-blade knife. These knives can still be converted to a sheath by sliding the knife into a leg holster sleeve or by placing it in a sheath case. Removing the knife from the sheath takes only seconds.

A leg holster will allow the hunter to wear his knife in an unobtrusive way. This type of accessory will make him look cool. It also allows him to use his knife in a number of ways, including drawing it across his back, for cutting rope around his waist, and during a hunting session. Because the blade isn't in view, the target can't trip over the protruding blade which could cause bodily harm. The sheath also protects the hands and fingers of the hunter from wind, rain, and other elements.

Hunters are a special breed of people who must take special precautions to keep their guns, ammunition, and clothing from falling into the wrong hands. Although hunters generally follow hunting rules, they often take extra measures to ensure their safety. Installing a leg holster allows a hunter to do just that. A hunter can now face the field without worrying about his weapon falling into the wrong hands.

Hunters can be brave people. They take risks every day in order to bring home that trophy buck or turkey. With a knife leg holster on his leg, a hunter is better protected than he was before.

In fact, many hunters have said that they don't use their knife anymore after having a knife leg holster installed. The installation takes very little time, and after you have put it on, you're ready to go. You won't need to remove it until your next kill because you will have used it the whole season. This device will serve you well as long as you take care of it by maintaining its sharpness.

If you need to transport your gun or ammunition in a vehicle, you should consider adding a knife leg holster to your trunk. There are many reasons why it's a good idea to do so. You will still be able to keep your weapon safely stored in your trunk when you get in the car and you won't have to worry about if you'll have enough room in the vehicle or not. When you get into the gun fight at the end of the day, you won't have to worry about stumbling around on your injured leg because your weapon is so easily accessible. A knife leg holster will make things much easier for you.
