Molle Attachment - Backpacks Affordable and Effective
MOLLE stands for Modular Light Weight Load-carrying Equipment it consists of rows of strong nylon material known as PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) it is stitched onto vest, pouches and many other equipment. When attached to a backpack it adds a lot more space for equipment than the traditional backpacks. MOLLE lets you completely customise your equipment to suit your purpose. Your MOLLE system will probably consist of SlickStick or MOLLE-specific adjustable straps that are made to easily weave between the vest or backpack you're attaching it to. These straps will also be able to adjust to the shape of your body as well as your purpose.
The basic modular back pack includes one or two pouches for stowing gear and another for storing supplies. Some systems will have additional pouches added for tactical packs, magazines, rope, whistle, and other things you might need. Other attachment systems may use attachment straps to keep MOLLE rows together and stowed away. There is also an attachment called the Molle Bar which can be attached to the side of the backpack, or an attachment known as the Molle Shield which can be attached to the face of the backpack. These shields are usually used for covering one's head, but they can also be used to cover the entire body.
Other attachment systems may use admin pouches, accessory pouches, and small zippers to attach them to their respective vests. Some systems may also use a single adjustable strap that can be hooked on to other straps for additional attachment to other equipment such as a hummer or other vehicle mounted device. One such system is the Medal Attachment from Molle. This system has three admin pouches and one accessory pouch that can be hooked on to a number of other admin pouches to allow for added storage space.
Other attachment systems include the following: Molle Squeeze, Molle Prox, and Molle Reflective. Each of these attachment systems has their own set of benefits that make them better than others. In general, all three are better than a standard MOLLE set.
MOLLE Squeeze is the lightest load-bearing equipment made by Molle. It is designed especially to be used in irregular and unorganized conditions. Its small size and its lack of complexity make it highly portable. It can be attached to most Rucksacks, such as the Blackhawk, Palmetto, or Paladin.
The Molle Prox is an attachment system used on most Molle bags. It is designed to secure a backpack by snapping close the corners of the backpack. This is the same principle as the Luch and Pouch Block, but it uses a modular lightweight load carrying system. This means that the entire bag has been reinforced, making it less likely to damage.
The Molle Reflective attachment can be attached to almost any backpack. It utilizes heavy-duty webbing material to allow for a tight attachment to nearly any backpack. The reflective nylon material also acts as a secondary defense to the MOLLE webbing material. In the event that the lightweight webbing is tear or punctured, the Reflective layer will be able to quickly and easily revert back to its original state. The entire bag is then treated with a moisture and stain resistant finish.
The MOLLE System is a design that makes attaching packs and gear easy. Molle Gear allows the user to easily and quickly attach packs and other equipment to their backpack without having to sacrifice safety. Most other systems are either difficult or inconvenient to use often requires additional installations and tools for the attachment process. The Molle System is designed to be easy for the user to use, and also provides the user with an increased level of security as well. If you have a MOLLE backpack, consider the different ways you can use it.
