Buyer's Guide: Pegboard Gun Rack

How to Hang Your Nerf Guns on a pegboard Wire Rack

Building a pegboard gun rack may not be as easy as one would think. If you can read instructions and follow a few basic steps, you can put one together with only a few hours' work. The most difficult part of building this kind of rack is the drilling of the screw holes in the wood. This should not be a problem though as long as you have all the necessary equipment to get this done right.

Using the right bit and the right drill bits, make holes into the wood to support the screws that will hold the legs up in the pegboard gun wall rack. 1000 more ideas on DIY nerf guns on pinterest. Hook the screws or handle of your new s model of Nerf guns into the holes you have made in the wood. Use a lot of sandpaper to smooth out any rough spots so the screws or handles won't be scratchy later on.

Get some foam tubing and cut it to length as this will be used for connecting the different sections of the wall control gun rack storage system. Use two pieces of the foam as butt joints and fasten them to each other with more foam. drill a couple holes on the foam and then insert the screws. This should be fastened to the wall. Test fit the system by putting the butt joint onto the wall and pulling the tube back.

The next step is to build the storage wall. Make sure that the wall jutting out from the ceiling is at least three feet from the ground. Use some pvc pipe for the walls and ceiling to support it. You can use a piece of pvc pipe that has been cut to fit and then twist this into a U shape.

Connect the PVC pipe to one corner and then connect the other corner to the other corner. Use a putty knife to screw the corners together. You should be left with six sections that are going to form a rectangular box that houses the nerf guns. Use this space to craft your door for your DIY nerf gun rack system.

Next you need to install some holes on your vertical wall. Make sure that they are drilled pilot hole so that the screw heads don't put extra pressure on your wall. You can also use a screw gun for this purpose. Anchor the bottom of your vertical wall to the floor with some wires. This will help the shelf from sinking if you plan to use the shelf for storing and hanging your nerf guns on a pegboard.

After installing the holes, secure each section to the wall using the screws provided. You can also use a nail or a staple gun for this task. You should now have six separate components that form the basis of a pegboard for your DIY firearm storage system.

Install the other four components to the left, right, top, and bottom. This will form a complete assembly of your gun display. You can decide whether or not you want a table top version for now or a wall mounted rack in the future. Your choice will depend on how much room you have available and what your needs are.

With your pre-made materials needed for a Nerf gun rack, cut them to size. Use a miter saw to make a perfect joint between all four corners. You should have about twelve inches between the corners for a nice neat look. Nail the ends of the rails together to make sure they are properly in place before adding your own finishing touches.

There are a few other things you may want to consider as you start to assemble your nerf guns for display. If you have space available, you might want to install a slide to keep your guns from falling out of their storage cases. You could also go with a slide that attaches to the top of the pegboard and another to the bottom. This makes it easy to get your guns out when they get in the mood to go out and have a battle with some friends or strangers.

Finally, if you plan on hanging your nerf guns on a pegboard wire rack, you will want to consider hooking a coat rack to the wall to keep coats, hats, and gloves from getting stuck on the wall. Another thing I recommend is buying a wall control pegboard works fantastic with this type of display. It works by having hooks on the wall that allow you to control how high the foam material will rise off of the pegboard.
