Quick Release Scope Mount
When you want to keep your scope setup but need to quickly remove the whole assembly while on the go, many folks discover that a quick release scope mount is the solution they have been looking for. Being able to quickly return to zero should be a high priority with these handy mounts, especially when the scope is fully installed. These quick release scope mounts make it easy to change your scopes' optic angle, reticle, and accessories without having to disassemble the entire rifle. The ease of quick and simple installation makes it a popular solution among hunters and other individuals who enjoy the outdoors.
The quick release scope mount rings are just as easy to install as the quick release scope mounts with the exception that they are much easier to remove if you need to quickly go hunting or if you are just about to go on a trip. The rings usually have an o-ring on each side that fits into a locking mechanism that engages with a tension cable that is provided by the manufacturer. You simply place one end of the cable ring on the aiming post of the rifle, make a quick turn, and then push the other side of the ring upward until the lock is engaged. This allows you to quickly take down the rifle in a matter of seconds.
There are some variations to this quick release scope mount that are available year round. The first is the mon Apr type. This version has a hole at the top of the post subject that is covered with a clear window tint that prevents the iris from being seen through the dark tint. This model is only compatible with semi-automatic firearms that use pistol grips. This version was made to work with the Stoner models that were manufactured in 2021.
The second type of quick release scope mounts are the dual scopes. These are used with the same rifle as the single scope but they are mounted differently. The top half of the post is the same color as the rifle and the bottom half is colored black. This mount allows for two different scopes to be attached to the same rifle. The major difference that this type of mount provides is that it is easier to adjust the magnification for the rifle when it does not have any optics and is more secure than the other type of mount.
The third variety of a quick release scope mount is the flat top offset one piece qd scope mount. This is different than the previous two because it does not attach to the rifle at the bottom. Instead it attaches to the scope user and requires that the user support the weight of the mounting block on their forearm. This mount provides no additional flexibility than the other two.
Some of the most popular rifle scopes are the Aimar Industries, Diamond Sights, Black Hills, Hogue, Remington, Seek-Escape, and Varmichael. These manufacturers all produce different types of rifle scopes for different purposes. Some specialize in hunting scopes while others target shooters. Each of these has unique features, but if the only thing that you are interested in shooting is standard ammo, then you probably do not need anything that is more advanced.
So what are some of the key positives of every single scope? The first positive is that it attaches easily to the rifle. As previously stated, it can be adjusted on your forearm or by the end of the attachment. A benefit of this is that it is very unlikely that you will damage your rifle by shooting with it every single time. It can be much more likely that you will wind up damaging your rifle by dropping it or mishandling it. This makes it an excellent choice for hunters.
A second advantage is that it is designed to be extremely durable. All optics systems are going to be subject to wear and tear over time. But Diamond Plate's product line is some of the most durable and reliable optics ever built. In fact, some of their other optics mounts suffer from almost no wear at all. They are also made with a long throw distance in mind, so they can handle extended distance shots without a problem. If you are looking for a way to get more distance out of your shot, then this is definitely a product worth checking out.
