How to Use the Stealth Operator Holster
A compact, yet powerful, self-defense handheld that allows you to quickly and easily gain control of your attacker, the Stealth Operator is a new defense system for personal protection. Packed with cutting-edge technology, the compact, lightweight, and fully concealable holster is designed to be extremely concealable. No one except the wearer knows that it is there. The unique, half-length design provides a secure fit for many popular self-defense weapon models (see rear pack section for details), without compromising concealment. The operator is designed with a one-piece construction that conceals both the holster and handgun. The side hook and pull tabs conveniently hold keys or coins so the pistol can be easily reached when needed.
The holsters for concealment are made from high quality leather, making them a comfortable choice for wearing anywhere in public. They are available in a wide variety of colors including black, brown, chestnut, or royal blue. Many of the holsters include a belt loop or an adjustable buckle strap. Some models will accept a traditional paddle mount paddle, and there are even some models that will work with an optional laser pointer.
The fit of the Compact Stealth Operator is excellent. The nylon straps offer a snug, secure hold, and provide excellent lateral and vertical retention, making it easy to place the holster on the belt. It is possible to convert this small and convenient holster into a full-size leather and PVC double stack knife by purchasing a conversion kit. The fit of the holsters for concealment with the belt is excellent, with little room to wiggle fingers around the belt area. Many of the models feature a button flap that allows a release of the retention strap easily without removing the belt.
Unlike many other concealment holsters, the Universal model allows for the mounting of other devices such as a canteen tray, flashlights, and sunglasses. The universal design includes a nylon canteen pouch with zippered top opening, attached with the use of a U-shaped hook and loop fastener. Some of the universal holsters include an O-ring attachment for attachment to a belt through the use of a small brass snap. Most of the universal holsters for concealment for firearms are designed for right or left handedness.
For close protection of the operator's hands while they operate the handgun models of the holsters, a canteen pouch is included. This pouch attaches to the belt over the user's shoulders with the use of a buckle or hook. This enables quick and efficient retrieval of the handgun when the need arises. One or more of the holsters are equipped with a shoulder strap for attachment to a belt through the use of a U-shaped fastener. Additional attachment points are available on some handguns models.
A new variation on the canteen holster, the silhouette model provides a canteen that fits inside the gun as well. This holster is attached to the belt by a hook and loop fastener, similar to the canteen model. When not in use, it folds up into a triangle shape, similar to the shape of a briefcase. This allows for easy storage and transportation of the firearm. The advantage of the silhouette model is that it provides less coverage than the traditional holsters, making it more ideal for the local gun carrier who must frequently transport different firearms.
The three different retention systems available for the Stealth Operator Holster include the paddle, the slip over belt, and the buckle. All three systems work effectively on the three different types of handguns models, including the M&P models and other types of Smith & Wesson firearms. The paddle system, which is similar to the canteen, works by securing the paddle into a belt loop. The belt loop and the canteen are then secured to the belt using a lanyard or small cable retainer.
The buckle, also similar to the paddle, is placed through the belt loops and into the back of the gun. A small cable is then ran from the buckle, through the belt, and onto the carrying case. The rig is designed to be worn around the waist, on the small of the back, or around the legs.
