Buyer's Guide: Women'S Recon Backpack

Women's Recon Backpack Review

The new Women's Recon Backpack from Black Pine is stylish, reliable, and constructed of high quality materials. The new FlexVent suspension system offers a comfortable adjustable yoke designed from high-grade injection-mold shoulder straps - an updated dual-density padded mesh back panel with a soft breathable zippered front stash pocket and strong compression molded waistband. High-performance polyester mixed with premium nylon and quilted leather give this back pack the strength to carry a multitude of items, like keys, laptop computer, cell phone, makeup kit, sunscreen and other personal supplies, as well as numerous different cups and liquids. It also comes equipped with a medium duty trolley for organizing smaller items.

The new Black Pine Women's Recon Backpack comes in three sizes (large through xl large). This makes it ideal for students or business women going on a two-week trip or similar. Its larger size allows for comfortable packing when the pack is full or just a few items are wanted. It will still zip easily and stay put no matter what the conditions.

The front panel is made of breathable, waterproof, UV protected polyester. This keeps clothes from getting steamed up and moist while they are stowed. It also keeps outside elements out by providing a barrier between them and your backpack. The zippers are also reinforced for added strength. Made with double stitching and a durable oblong polyester exterior, it looks great and performs well.

On the cargo side, there are two handles at the top of the bag, one at the front and one at the back. These handles can be used as a shoulder rack, or a person storage device. Each has a Velcro strap attached to it, for easy attachment to a backpack or carrier. One handle is great for a more general storage application. The back handle is more for a person's convenience and comfort. A nice combination!

On the front of the bag is an organizer pocket with a zippered section. This is perfect for holding water or any other item needed while hiking. In addition, the bag has two exterior bottle holders attached with Velcro straps. This is an excellent choice for keeping the essentials close at hand.

The mesh and nylon exterior is breathable. So you'll stay dry and comfortable even in warmer weather. The main compartment has separate compartments for smaller items like keys, cell phones, or lipstick, and a larger primary compartment for text and photos. The interior of this larger main compartment also offers a pocket for an iPhone or small mp3 player.

This product is an outstanding option for any woman on the go. The lightweight nature of the Recon ensures that you won't be weighed down by a heavy backpack. If anything, it certainly is more comfortable than carrying around a heavy laptop. It is made of such high quality material that it is virtually indestructible. For durability, I think this is hands down the best women's backpack currently available.

While not being as large as the previous model, the newer Women's Recon Backpack is nearly as roomy. If I had to pick, I would probably choose the smaller version for a lot of outdoor activities. As always, you can find a better deal online. Be sure to compare several retailers to see the best price and selection.

One of the great features of the newer models is the removable padded backpacks. The two handles on each side can be pulled outward to create additional storage space. It is great for those unexpected moments when you need to stow something away. However, these handles make it difficult to get the backpack in and out of the vehicle. If you have a large SUV or truck, you might not want to purchase this backpack with the handles removed, as they will cause your vehicle to move.

For those who prefer not to spend the time pulling a bulky object around, there are also unassembled models available. Although, these models don't come with two handles, they work very well. Since there are no handles, it is impossible to lose something. The only problem is that you will likely have to replace the straps a couple times before they last. In addition, the velcro straps tend to get caught on things more easily. Overall, this is the least liked of all the models.

If you're looking for a women's back pack that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, then you should take a closer look at the Recon XLS. The fact that it is made out of high quality nylon gives it a very solid feel. If you're planning to carry heavier items such as a laptop or a tent, the suspension will help to distribute the weight more evenly. Another great feature is that there is a mesh pocket specifically for a cellular phone. This means you won't miss your keys or other important items in your car during a road trip.
